Acyclic or open chain compounds are also called as aliphatic compounds as they consist of straight or branched chain compounds. Aromatic, heterocyclic and alicyclic compounds are closed chain or ring compounds.

Tetrahydrofuran is a closed chain or a ring compound. Acetic acid, acetaldehyde, and ethane are open chain compounds, thereby, making them aliphatic compounds. Tetrahydrofuran is an organic compound with the formula (CH₂)₄O.

Benzene group is not a functional group. Functional groups can be defined as an atom or group of atoms joined in a specified manner which is responsible for the characteristic chemical properties of the organic compound. Hydroxyl group (-OH), aldehyde group (-CHO), and carboxylic acid group (-COOH), all cause changes in chemical properties when attached to the hydrocarbon chains.

Intensive properties are those which don’t depend on the amount of matter in the sample. For eg: temperature, pressure, density.

Extensive properties are those which depend on the amount of matter in the sample. For eg: Volume, Internal energy, mass.

The product contains one term which is extensive, or which depends on mass, so we can say that their product also depends on mass and is therefore extensive.

Inclusion bodies are not covered by membranes and lie freely in the cytoplasm. They store reserve material such as phosphate granules. blue-green bacteria contain gas vacuoles which is an inclusion body.

Prokaryotes have a 70S ribosome and eukaryotes have an 80S ribosome. The 70S prokaryotic ribosome contains one large 50S subunit and one small 30S subunit. It is site of protein synthesis.

Flagella, pili and fimbriae are structures present on the surface of the bacterial cell for various purposes such as motility and attachment. Mesosome is an infolding of cell membrane, present in the cytoplasm.

Chromatophores are pigment containing membranous extensions in the cytoplasm of bacteria. Cyanobacteria contain chromatophores. They are photosynthetic bacteria that are aquatic in nature.
