Test: Our Earth

A globe is a spherical model of Earth, of some other celestial body, or of the celestial sphere. Globes serve purposes similar to maps, but unlike maps, they do not distort the surface that they portray except to scale it down. A model globe of Earth is called a terrestrial globe.

The Earth is almost completely round. The force of gravity would pull the Earth into a perfect sphere shape, but the fast rotation of Earth on its axis, an imaginary line running from the North Pole to the South Pole, reduces the effect of gravity on the equator.

The brown, yellow and green parts are land. And the white parts are ice and snow.

About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth's water. 

Some vehicles move on land. Most land vehicles have wheels. Examples of land vehicles are bicycles, cars, motorcycles, and trains. Land vehicles that are powered by an engine or motor are called motor vehicles.

Because breath help us live and it also helps in functioning all the parts of our body.

Earth is our home. It is also the only planet with oceans. In fact, Earth is covered mostly with water. That is why it is called the Blue Planet.

Seawater is a complex mixture of 96.5 percent water, 2.5 percent salts, and smaller amounts of other substances, including dissolved inorganic and organic materials, particulates, and a few atmospheric gases.

Plains are more suitable to agriculture than plateaus because they are low, flat lands that have deep, fertile soil. A plain is an area of flat land that actually covers around one-third of the Earth's land.

Mountains are cooler than plains because as we go higher the temperature n pressure decreases so that's why the plain area are hotter n mountains are cooler.
