The age at which boys and girls start producing gametes is called puberty. A number of changes take place in body at puberty.

The right meals for adolescents include chapatti, dal, Vegetable etc. The meal should provide carbohydrates, proteins and fats along with vitamins for proper growth and development.

Puberty starts early in girls in comparison to boys of same age. In girls it start at the age of around 12-13 years.

Researchers suggest adolescence undergo three primary developmental stages of adolescence and young adulthood --early adolescence( 10 -14 ), middle adolescence (15 - 17 ), and late adolescence/young adulthood (18 - 24).

Insulin hormone is released by pancreas. Insulin controls the sugar level in blood to avoid high blood pressure and heart disease.
