World Blood Donor Day is celebrated every year on 14 June. Its aim is to make people aware about the need for safe blood and blood products. This time it is also the 20th anniversary of World Blood Donor Day. This year's slogan is "Celebrating 20 Years: Thank You Blood Donors!" (Celebrating 20 years of giving: thank you, blood donors!).

With an aim to take Indian art and culture to more people, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) and Sansad TV have signed a significant agreement. Under the agreement, programmes produced by IGNCA will be telecast on Sansad TV and Sansad TV will also have access to content from IGNCA's cultural archives. On behalf of IGNCA, Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi and Sansad TV CEO Rajat Punhani signed the agreement.     

India has recently sent humanitarian assistance of US$1 million to disaster-hit Papua New Guinea, which has reached there. Pua New Guinea Foreign Minister Justin Tkachenko, and Defence Minister Billy Joseph were present at the Port Moresby airport to receive the humanitarian aid. Papua New Guinea is a country located in Oceania.

Praveen Kumar will be the next Managing Director (MD) of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel. Presently he is working as Executive Director in DFCCIL.

Former IAS officer Dr. Pramod Kumar Mishra has been re-appointed as Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Dr. Mishra's appointment has been approved. He served as Additional Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister during 2014-19.  

According to an order of the Government of India, Ajit Doval has been appointed as the National Security Advisor for the third term. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Doval from June 10. Doval is the longest serving NSA. Doval was first appointed to the post in 2014, his second term began in 2019 which ended on June 5.

India has extended a $250 million Line of Credit to Kenya for the modernization of its agricultural sector, as announced during the visit of Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto. This move reflects the commitment to enhance bilateral ties between the two countries, encompassing areas such as defense, counter-terrorism, and technolog.
