AITMC Ventures Limited (AVPL International) has received DGCA certification for agricultural drone VIRAJ. Company CEO Himanshu Sharma said that AVPL's Viraj UAS (agricultural drone) has received the first type certification.  

Digital payment service PhonePe has recently joined hands with LankaPay to launch UPI payments in Sri Lanka. The transactions will be facilitated by UPI and LankaPay National Payment Network. Indians travelling to Sri Lanka can take advantage of this facility.   

India's most famous footballer Sunil Chhetri has announced his retirement from international football. The FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kuwait on June 6 in Kolkata will be his last match for the national team. Chhetri started his playing career with Mohun Bagan in 2002. Chhetri made his international debut in 2005 and scored his first goal against Pakistan.

The 77th Cannes Film Festival is being organised in France where the Indian Pavilion was also inaugurated. The Indian Pavilion at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival is organised every year by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. It was inaugurated by Information and Broadcasting Ministry Secretary Sanjay Jaju and Indian Ambassador to France Javed Ashraf.

Javelin star and Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal at the Federation Cup 2024 held in Bhubaneswar. Neeraj, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympics, won the gold medal by throwing the javelin 82.27 meters in the final event. Neeraj Chopra last participated in this event in 2021.

Taking a historic decision, the United Nations General Assembly has unanimously declared May 25 as World Football Day. It was declared as a historic day for football, the world's most popular sport. The proposal was presented by Libya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Taher M. Al-Soni introduced the bill and it was passed unanimously by the 193-member General Assembly. 

Former MP, Dileep Sanghani has been elected Chairman of the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) for the second consecutive time. Whereas Balveer Singh was elected Vice President of the world's largest cooperative organization IFFCO for the second consecutive time. Sanghani was a cabinet minister in the Modi government in Gujarat. IFFCO was established in the year 1967, its headquarter is in New Delhi.

Bangladesh cricket team for T20 World Cup 2024 has been announced. Bangladesh has been placed in Group D along with South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal. The command of the Bangladesh team has been given to Najmul Hossain Shanto. Bangladesh will play its first match against Sri Lanka on June 7 in Dallas. 

US space agency NASA has appointed David Salvagnini as its first Chief AI Officer. Earlier, David Salvagnini was NASA's chief data officer.
