CA Foundation 2020- ICAI (Indian Institute of Chartered Accountant of India) has released application form for CA Foundation May 2020 Exam online at https://icaiexam.icai.org/. Candidates who have passed class 12th can apply for CA Foundation. It is an entry exam for those who are interested in the character accountancy course in India. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 11, 13, 15 and 17, 2020. CA Foundation exam consists of two questions i.e. descriptive and MCQ type.
CA Foundation 2020 exam consists of 4 papers that the candidate has to pass to be deemed as qualified. Graduates or postgraduates candidates can get direct entry into the second level, i.e. CA Intermediate.

A student who has appeared in the 12th examination directed by an examining body,established by law in India may enroll for CA Foundation Exam 2020. A registered student may show up in Foundation examination once they have qualified the Senior Secondary Examination (12th examination).
The students who have got themselves registered for CA Foundation Course have to undergo a minimum of four months study period to meet CA Foundation 2020 Eligibility Criteria. Students registered on or before 31 Dec, 2020 will be eligible to write the exam in May 2020.
Registration: Candidates must have registered themselves with ICIA in order to be eligible for CA Foundation.
Age limit: No upper age limit has been prescribed by the conducting authority for appearing in CA Foundation.
Educational Qualification: candidates must have completed class 10th and 12th by any recognized board.
Minimum Marks: candidates who have qualified in the senior secondary exam with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks will be able to register themselves for CA Foundation 2020 exam.
CA Foundation Admit cards will be issued only to those candidates who satisfy the Ca Foundation Eligibility Criteria. After verifying their eligibility, candidates must also get familiar with CA Foundation Exam Pattern before the exam date.
The preparation for CA Foundation 2020 must be done judiciously if one needs to clear the exam with flying colours. The exam is going to be conducted offline thus proper practice in pen and paper mode of examination needs to be done. The step by step procedure of registering for CA Foundation is as follows:
Step 1: Register to obtain CA Foundation User ID and Password
Go to the ICAI’s student’s portal at https://icaiexam.icai.org/
To start, click on “Register now” and create your profile. The CA Foundation Registration Form will be as follows.
To register online, the aspirants need to enter details such as their CA Foundation registration number, date of birth, mobile number, email id, etc.
Submit the registration details, and the login credentials will be sent to the registered email id and mobile number.
Step 2: Filling the Application Form
Once the login credentials are received, use those details to log in. then, proceed to fill in details in the Application Form.
After entering the details, click on “save and proceed to the '' button to create the profile.
Step 2 of the profile is entering the complete address details. Make sure the details entered are correct before clicking “validate the details” first and then clicking “select details”
Step 3: Uploading the documents and Submission
Candidates need to upload the scanned copy of photograph, signature, 12th mark sheet, 10th mark sheet and attested declaration in JPEG format within the 100- 300 KB size.
Above uploading the documents, review them and then read the declaration and click on the “I agree” box. Then click on “final submit” appearing on the bottom right corner. This will essentially finish your Application form.
If in case a candidate wants to make any kind of changes in the already filled application form, then click on the “Back to form” button on the bottom left corner of the page. After making the required changes, submit the application form.
Step 4: Payment of Fee
The Following application fee is applicable. All the application fees are to be paid online using net banking or Credit/Debit card.
CA Foundation Admit Card will be released online only on the official website in the month of April 2020. Admit Cards will be made available only after successful completion of the application and payment process before the last date. Candidates need to download their CA Foundation Admit Card by logging in using their Registration Number and Password. The admit card consists of all the necessary details like candidates name, roll number, photo, signature, etc. If there is any discrepancy in the admit card then immediately contact the official authorities.
Candidates appearing for the upcoming exam need to compulsorily carry the hard copy of their hall ticket along with valid ID proofs. Candidates without hall tickets will not be allowed to attempt the CA Foundation exam 2020.
The result for CA Foundation 2020 will be released on the official website (https://icaiexam.icai.org/) after the exam is conducted. All the registered candidates will be notified through email when the result will be announced. Candidates can download their CA Foundation Result from the official website by using their registered number and password. Also, candidates will be able to download their scorecard. Beside this, the official website will also release the CA Foundation Merit List which usually consists of the details of the top 50 ranks of CA Foundation exam.
