What is IIT JAM
Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is an all India level online entrance exam conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) every year on a rotational basis on behalf of ministry of human Resources development (MHRD), government of India. Candidates are informed that the biometric system of identification verification (finger - print) will be used for the JAM 2020exam as well as admission.
Till last year, the IIT JAM exam was conducted for seven subjects of science in order to provide admission to candidates in MSc and other post - bachelors courses offered at IITs and integrated Ph.D. courses offered at indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Several National Institute of Technology (NITs) and centrally funded technical Institute (CFTIs) also accept JAM Score for MSc admission.

In order to fulfill IIT JAM 2020 eligibility criteria, candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree with at laest 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates). It may be noted that the aggregate marks should be without rounding off and take into account all the subjects, including languages and submission, all years combined, informs the official website.
Candidates who have appeared or will appear for their graduation exams in 2020 are also eligible to apply.
Age limit: There is no age limit to appear for the IIT JAM 2020 Exam.
IIT JAM 2020 Eligibility Criteria: Minimum Educational Qualification
IIT JAM Mock test 2020 is essential for everyone. They complete your preparation and ensure that you clear the examination with a good score. Candidates can also download the IIT JAM mock test which is now available and practise at home offline.These mock tests of IIT JAM 2020 have been designed to be solved in under 2 hours, thus Using the released IIT JAM mock test, the candidates will be able to prepare well for the upcoming examination. Since the mock test will have the same structure as the IIT JAM 2020 examination, the candidates will be familiar with the pattern and analyze their preparation. Time management can also be practiced using the IIT JAM 2020 mock test.
The IIT JAM 2020Exam pattern is such that candidates need to complete their respective test paper in three hours. In the exam, candidates need to attempt 60 questions which are of 100 Marks weightage. These 60 questions are divided into three sections- A,B and C. All these sections are compulsory and candidats need to attempt questions from all the sections. The medium of instruction for JAM test paper is English.the detailed IIT JAM exam pattern 2020 is mentioned in the table below:
Negative marking is only in section A. For each one marks questions, 1/3 marks will be deducted. On the other hand, for each wrong answer to two marks questions, 2/3 marks will be deducted. There is no negative marking for any question left unanswered.
No negative marking is there in section B and C.
JEE Mains is an entrance exam for students willing to pursue MSc courses offered by the IITs. Solving previous year questions papers are key to cracking the IIT JAM exam. Candidates need to apply online for the IIT JAM 2020 registrations. Candidates need to visit the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) link which is present on the official website of the Exam and fill the IIT JAM 2020 application form there. The IIT JAM 2020 application fee also needs to be paid online only via net banking/ debit card/ credit card. Please note that candidates can apply for a maximum of two test papers at a time. But for appearing for the second test paper, candidates need to pay an additional application fee.
Note :
If you are applying for two Test papers, then make sure that both the exams are conducted in different sessions.
After the payment is done, a fee payment number will be generated, which must be saved by the candidate for later use.

Candidates can follow the following steps to download their Admit cards for IIT JAM 2020 Exam.
Step 1: open IIT JAM 2020 official website(http://jam.iitk.ac.in/)
Step 2: Click on ‘JOAPS Admit Card’ link
Step 3: Enter enrollment/ Email ID and password
Step 4: Solve the given arithmetic expression
Step 5: Click on ‘Submit’ button
Step 6: check the declaration box
Step 7: Click on ‘Download Admit Card’ button
Step 8: View and take print out of IIT JAM 2020 Admit Card
After downloading the JAM 2020 admit card, candidates need to take a print out of it and carry it to the allotted exam centre along with a valid ID proof (original). Those candidates who will not be carrying their admit card and ID proof might not be allowed to appear for the JAM 2020 Exam.
IIT JAM 2020 result will be declared on the official website of the exam.
Candidates are given an All India Rank (AIR) on each test paper in IIT JAM 2020. On the basis of AIR, an All India Merit List is prepared. Candidates whose names and roll numbers appear in the merit list are then eligible for admission in MSc courses offered at IITs and integrated Ph.D. programmes offered at IISc.

A. IIT JAM is a national level exam that is conducted to shortlist students for admission in MSc and integrated MSc courses offered at colleges accepting IIT JAM scores for admission. IIT JAM is jointly conducted by the IITs and Indian Institute of Science (IISC). IIT JAM is conducted on a rotational basis by the colleges participating in exams. Q. Is IIT JAM difficult?
A. Experts share that the IIT JAM exam is difficult to clear. This is not because the difficulty level of the questions asked is very high because the selection ratio through IIT JAM exam is low. However, this does not mean that the questions asked in the exam will be easy.
Q. How to predict your IIT JAM 2020 score?
A.You are able to predict your score based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. For this you need to match your answers from the answer key. Add marks for every correct answer and deduct for an incorrect answer. Ensure that you follow the same marking scheme as given.
