The Yeti is a big, hairy creature that some people believe lives in the snowy
mountains of the Himalayas. There is no proof that the Yeti exists!  However,
there have been lots of stories and sightings for hundreds of years.  Some
people say they hear strange noises in the mountains or see big footprints in
the snow. 
Of course, some people think that all these Yeti stories are just myths.
Maybe the footprints were made by a big bear, or the noises were just the
wind or rocks moving. Many movies have been made that feature the Yeti.
No one knows if the Yeti is real. Some people say they have seen it. Others
think the Yeti is just a story. Yetis are said to be shy and reclusive, and they
only come out at night. Many explorers have tried to find the Yeti because
they want to know more about this mysterious creature. But the Yeti is very
good at hiding.
