The Old Stag
The Stag's Home
He lived on a soft, grassy
hillock where he loved to
rest in the warm sunshine.
A Friendly Neighbor
Every day, he greeted his
forest friends with a warm
smile and gentle words.
Special Grass
The hillock was covered
with the most delicious,
tender green grass in the
forest.
One Day, Something Sad Happened
The old stag woke up feeling very sick.
He was too tired and weak to walk down the hill to see his
friends.
He needed rest.
Friends Come to Visit
The Deer Visited First
"I hope you feel better soon,
dear friend!" said the deer.
The Elephant Came Too
"What delicious grass!" the
elephant noticed, munching a
bite.
The Giraffe Stopped By
"Oh my, this grass is so tender
and tasty!" said the giraffe.
Uh-oh! What Happened Next?
Soon, word spread about the yummy grass. Every animal who visited ate some of the special
grass. They couldn't help themselves4it was just too delicious!
The Grass Disappeared
Day after day, more friends came to visit.
And day after day, they all ate the tender
grass. Soon, there was almost no grass
left for the sick stag!
The old stag grew weaker and weaker. He
had nothing to eat to help him get better.
His friends had been so busy enjoying the
grass that they forgot why they came4to
help their friend!
The Animals Felt Sorry
They Stopped Eating the
Grass
No more animals ate from
the stag's special hillock.
They Found Food
Elsewhere
The friends went to other
parts of the forest to eat.
They Brought Fresh
Leaves
Some animals even brought
yummy leaves to help the
stag!
Rain Brought New Life
Then something wonderful happened! It started to rain.
The raindrops watered the hillock, and soon, fresh, green
grass began to grow again!
Now the old stag had plenty to eat. Day by day, he grew
stronger and healthier.
The Stag Got Better!
With the new grass and the love of his
friends, the old stag slowly got his strength
back. Soon, he could walk down the hill
again to greet everyone, just like before!
What the Animals Learn?
1
Nature gives us wonderful
gifts like food, water, and
shelter. But we must share
these gifts fairly and not take
too much!
2
True friends think about each
other's needs. When
someone is sick, they need
our help and kindness the
most.
3
When we use nature's gifts
wisely, there's enough for
everyone. Being greedy can
hurt others and ourselves too.
