Hi Rohan. Let me explain how I do and how I have helped many others do the same. Think of three things in your day-to-day life that you are really annoyed with (or would like to see optimised). Then think og three good things in your life/city/whatever. With a little bit of creative thinking, I guarantee that you will be able to find a way to combine some of the good things and the bad things. This combination can then be further developed and maybe just maybe you will come up with an idea. If nothing else, you used creativity and that is never bad ;)

Let me give an example from one of my UK contacts that I helped. He is from Brighton. I asked for three good and three bad things about his life in the city. His bad things were:

1) Poor mobile connection many places
2) Bad infrastructure (street lights often not working, public transport unreliable)
3) not safe to go out alone after dark (lot of crime)

Good things:

1) education system
2) startup infrastructure / startup events
3) Beautiful scenery

It took me 2 minutes to come up with an app that we could call "best way home". Use the gps in your phone to show you the safest way home. On the well lit streets, with best possible mobile connection and best connections for public transport. It might be a longer way home, but it is the safest or at least best way home :) was this idea revolutionary? Not at all, but it took 2 minutes. You can do something similar. I know, because I have done it literally thousands of times and I am by far a genius
