Actually both a and b options would be right, its because so2 is an antioxidant whereas no2 is used in preservation of meats like fishes.
And also we know both of them would lead to acid rain.
So as we know so2 used for preservation and along with it even no2 does the same, and both will lead to acid rain, so option a and b

So2 has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties that's why it is used as food preservative . It prevents spoiling of food . whereas no2 does form acid rain , it is soluble in water and also act as reducing agent just like so2 but no2 is not used as food preservative
