Correct answer is option D as the particles of the solids are tightly packed there is no space in between the particles of solids so they can't move freely in a limited space .

The correct answer should be (D). As the intermolecular forces of attraction between the particles of solid are minimum, hence they are not able to move freely & are packed so that it can only Vibrate.
