Let the number be X.

From the given information, 53x – 35x = 540 => 18x = 540 => x = 30

So, new product = 53*30 = 1590

Hence Option D is correct

Let the other no. be X and the result be Y, then

35×X=Y (1)
53×X=Y+540 (2)
To find : 53×X= new prodct

By 1 & 2 we get: 53×X=(35×X) + 540

=>53X=35X+540
=>18X=540
=>X=30 (3)

By using 3 the new product will be : 53×30=1590

Let the number be X.From the given information, 53x – 35x = 540 => 18x = 540 => x = 30So, new product = 53*30 = 1590Hence Option D is correctFor Complete syllabus ofQuant for CATclick on the link given below:Quantitative Aptitude (Quant)https://edurev.in/courses/3074_quantitative-aptitude--maths--prep-tests--videos-
