Given:
The rates of hiring a rental car are as follows:
Rs. 800 per 8 hours up to 80 km
Rs. 100 per extra hour and Rs. 10 per extra km.
Sunil travels from city A to B which is 250 km.
He starts at 7:00 am and reaches at 4:00 pm on the same day.
Calculation:
Sunil travel 250km from A to B.
Total time he took = 9 Hrs
Rates of hiring car are:
⇒ 8hr up to 80Km = Rs.800
Per extra Hour = Rs.100
Per extra Km = Rs.10
Sunil' s total distance is 250Km.
For first 80km he pay = Rs.800----(i)
Left (250 - 80 = 170Km)
He pay according to Km = 170 × 10 = 1700---(ii)
But, He use extra 1hr for this he pay = Rs.100-----(iii)
Total money he pay = Rs.800 + Rs.1700 + Rs.100 = Rs.2600
In complete travelling he pay = Rs.2600.
∴ Option b is correct.

The rates of hiring a rental car are as follows:Rs. 800 per 8 hours up...
To calculate the amount of money Sunil has to pay for his car rental, we need to consider the distance he traveled and the duration of his trip.

1. Calculate the base fare:
- The base fare for up to 80 km or 8 hours is Rs. 800.
- Since Sunil traveled 250 km, we need to calculate the additional distance charges. The additional distance is 250 km - 80 km = 170 km.
- The additional distance charges are Rs. 10 per km, so the additional distance charges amount to 170 km * Rs. 10 = Rs. 1700.

2. Calculate the additional time charges:
- Sunil started at 7:00 am and reached at 4:00 pm, which means he traveled for a total of 9 hours.
- The base fare covers up to 8 hours, so Sunil traveled for an additional 1 hour.
- The additional time charges are Rs. 100 per hour, so the additional time charges amount to 1 hour * Rs. 100 = Rs. 100.

3. Calculate the total fare:
- The base fare is Rs. 800.
- The additional distance charges are Rs. 1700.
- The additional time charges are Rs. 100.
- Therefore, the total fare is Rs. 800 + Rs. 1700 + Rs. 100 = Rs. 2600.

Therefore, Sunil has to pay Rs. 2600 for his car rental. Hence, the correct answer is option 'B'.
