Sunrays walls directly on the places located on the equator while it falls slanting on the poles. Thus as the latitudes increases, the chances of change in day and night from place to place increases. That is why latitydnal extent influences the duration of day and night as one moves from south to north.

ANSWER

Vitamin A deficiency leads to a disease known as night blindness. People with night blindness have a normal vision when adequate light is present but poor vision in the dark.

Vitamin A is necessary for the production of retinal, a component of rhodopsin.

Rhodopsin is required for sensing dim light. Since deficiency of vitamin A leads to inadequate production of retinal it results in night blindness.
Thus the correct answer is option B
