Look if u see the conjugate bases of these three u will find that the conjugate base of phenol is stabilized by resonance so its acid is strong means lesser value now look for methanol it's conjugate base is unstable because due to +I effect of ch3 the - charge on o is unstable sots acid is week means high pka value for H2O there is no such +I effect and also - charge is on electronegative atom O so it's acid is strong as compared to methanol but weak as compared to phenol

Correct option is D. pka value of methanol is 15.5 and that of water is 15.7

The correct answer would be c since the pka value of methanol is much lower than that of phenol

Pka increase Ka decrease.EWG or E.N group or -M.E or -I.E increases acidity then Ka increases . ERG decrease acidity. Ka decreases pka increases.

Methanol is more acidic than water. Becz if we draw congugate base of water and methanol we see that electronegativity factor dominates over inductive effect.As we see electronegativity difference between oxygen and hydrogen is more than oxygen and carbon due to which the congugate base becomes unstable in water.So my answer is option A
