Make it a^2 + 2ab +b^2
1st take 2 to ri8 side and devide 2 in each side
you get x^2-3x/2=1
here 2ab is 3x/2, than b is 3/4
add (3/4)^2 in both sides
it gives x^2 - 3x/2+ (9/16)=25/16
(x-3/4)^2 =25/16
x-3/4= 5/4
x=2
