According to article.17 the practice of untouchability is abolished. In the eyes of constitution all persons are equal before the law and no one can be discriminated on the basis of caste, sex, and gender.

Untouchability is abolished and its practice in any form is forbidden The enforcement of any disability arising out of Untouchability shall be an offence punishable in accordance with law. Article 17 deals with Abolition of Untouchability and it states “ 'Untouchability' is abolished and its practice in any form is forbidden. The enforcement of any disability arising out of 'Untouchability' shall be an offence punishable in accordance with law.” 3.

Yes article 17 is correct because it stands for untouchability. it means all the people are equal before law in any situation. There is no touchability among people.
