Now IFSD 1=0.1mA ,IFSD2=0.05mA
So,voltmeter 2 reads the full scales current allowed is 0.05mA and and voltmeter one reads half of its full scale value so the total reading is 150V.

Option D the FOM values are different for both the voltmaters the least voltage drop across the lower resistance voltmeter will be least.
from the FOM values it is clear that 20kOhm meter will read it's full scale (100V) reading first in the series combination. at the same time 10kOhm will read 50V. total voltage across the combination is 150V.

but we can increase voltage further still can measure voltage up to a point 10kOhm meter will read it's full deflection (100V). from the above example. the voltage indicated in by the 10KOhm Vm is 1/3 rd of appled voltage.
hence for a full scale deflection of 10kOhm meter the total voltage across the total combination will be 100*3= 300V

hence option D

Figure of merit (FOM) = Full scale voltage (V) / Full scale current (I)

Given:
