The principal of electric motor is based on magnetic effect of electric current. Electric motor is a device which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.

Working of motor:-
A rectangular foil is placed between magnetic field in which we pass electricity due to magnetic effect of electric current, it starts rotation. We can check the direction of motion of rectangular foil by using Fleming-left hand rule.
