Let's analyse Statement 1 -
given : CD = 4cm.
However, This doesn't help us determine the area of the ∆ ADC, which is given by 1/2 * base * height.
= 1/2 * CD * height.
Height cannot be determined here since the values of angles are unknown.

Statement 2 -
1) Angle (ADC) = 120
therefore,
Angle(ADB) = 60
,and
->Angle (BAD)= 30
hence,
->Angle (ABD) = 90
this implies that AB is the altitude for ∆ADC.
An altitude by defn is the perpendicular distance between the base and the opposite vertex.
Now, AB = 6cm
but, the base length is unknown.

Hence, Statement 2 is also insufficient.

1 & 2 together -

Now, base = 4cm
height = 6cm
Hence, area = 0.5 *6*4.
AREA = 12 SQCM.

Therefore, you guessed it, the Correct Answer is (C).
