Considering the pattern of past CLAT exams, our experts have created the legal reasoning course, which offers 100+ video lectures, detailed notes, 1500+ practice questions & 5-10 tests for each topic. The topics covered in the course are:
1. Understanding the basics
Legal Reasoning is the most crucial section due to its very high weightage. A diverse section like this demands you to have a fair knowledge of the basics. You can get well acquainted with the basics through tests’ regular practice. Also, it is suggested to practice each topic until you feel confident thoroughly.
One way to assess your knowledge is to start practicing the questions; first-hand practice will help you cover the basics. You can practice through the practice docs and tests.
You can also view detailed lectures, read important documents under the Legal Reasoning section under the CLAT exam category.
Start reading the concepts and keep in touch with your fundamentals of legal reasoning by reading notes prepared by faculties who have an experience of 15+ years teaching CLAT aspirants.
2. Practice
You should only attempt the solution when you completely understand the question in this section. As one has to attempt 150 questions in 120 minutes, speed and accuracy are very important.
The application of the principle is a factor that needs to be focussed on before attempting the question. Think logically and try to avoid the prejudices that can cloud your judgement.
EduRev Tip: Don’t let your emotions and opinions cloud your judgement while solving answers. Look at the facts and principles while solving this section.
Once you have completed the basic levels of preparation, attempting tests that are planned level-wise will help you in sharpening your concepts. You can try them here - level wise tests.
Our expert team has prepared these level-wise tests by referring to books like AP Bhardwaj, Pearson, etc., to provide you with the best learning experience. Our medium level tests replicate the level of majority CLAT questions, and hard level questions are generally present for you to be competitive for a more arduous CLAT exam.
3. Revision
“Revising modules and chapters many times is also useful, and candidates must focus on all the subjects from the starting only. Try avoiding silly mistakes and focus on weaker sections.” - Anurag Tiwari (CLAT 2019; AIR 3)
The probability of success increases with the revision of concepts. There is no topper of CLAT who aced the exam without revising the concepts. Legal Reasoning for CLAT course has 200+ tests with 5-10 tests for each topic, prepared just for you so that you can revise and master each and every topic and gain confidence. We also recommend you to attempt the cumulative subject wise tests, which will give you an idea of how the final legal section would look like.
In case you feel the necessity of revising through videos, you can access the best videos prepared by experts that can help you revise the concepts easily and quickly.
4. Solve Mock Tests and Previous Year Papers
“Take as many mock tests as you can and from as many different institutes as you can. Analyse your mocks and work on your weaknesses.” - Aman Garg, AIR 1 CLAT 2018
CLAT mock tests are very crucial as the test acquaints you with the real exam scenario and helps in analysing the preparation level. The past year papers are beneficial to analyse the paper pattern and difficulty level of questions.
An individual’s reasoning skill is put to the test in this section. Most importantly, you need to solve these under time pressure; therefore, a good reading speed would be a plus. Being objective while solving the questions helps score well in the exam.
You sit in front of your CLAT 2021 question paper, and the first question comes in front of you; if you have seen the question of a similar pattern earlier, your entire preparation is rewarded. Any other preparation is entirely worthless and meaningless. It remains our responsibility to help you achieve this confidence through our planned curriculum.
The sureshot way to attain this confidence is to attempt as many mock tests for CLAT as you can. As an aspirant, you might consider giving exams of other colleges as well. Though their syllabus is almost the same, the pattern of the actual exam is really different.
So, we've created a different mock test series for AILET:
