Air and Water Class 1 Notes EVS

Air

Air is all around us, even though we can't see it! It's like a big, invisible blanket that helps us breathe and makes everything feel light.

Air and Water Class 1 Notes EVS

  • Invisible and Everywhere: Air is invisible, which means we can't see it, but we can feel it when it moves. It's everywhere, inside and outside, making the world a comfy place.
  • Helps Us Breathe: We breathe in air through our nose and mouth. It gives us the oxygen we need to live and play.
  • Wind is Moving Air: When air moves, we call it the wind. It can be a gentle breeze or a strong gust, making the trees dance and flags flutter.

Air can be hot, warm, cool and cold.

Moving air is called wind. Slow moving and soft wind is called breeze. A very strong wind with thunder and lightning is called a storm.

  • Flying Kites: When we fly kites, we feel the air lifting them up high into the sky. It's like giving them a ride on the invisible wind!

Keeping Air Clean

  • No Littering: We should throw our trash in the bins. Keeping our surroundings clean helps keep the air fresh.
