We can categorize the CAT quant syllabus into five broad topics

  • Number System
  • Arithmetic
  • Geometry
  • Algebra
  • Modern Maths

A common mistake made by a first-time applicant is that each subject is equally important for its preparations. Indeed, around 90% of the questions are from three topics consistently in recent CAT. Arithmetic, algebra and geometry are the topics.

Therefore, being a smart aspirant you would focus more on these three topics to prepare for CAT quant section.
