Let’s Recap: 
• As there are broadly two different types of organisms, plants and 
animals, therefore there are two types of cells, a plant cell and an 
animal cell. 
• The outer covering that protects the cell is called the cell membrane. 
• The cell membrane is always semi-permeable in nature. 
• An additional covering made up of cellulose is present in plant cells 
which is called a cell wall. 
• The jelly like fluid present inside the cell is called cytoplasm. 
• The free floating structures present in the cell that helps in its proper 
functioning are called cell organelles.
