India's First Commercial Flight Powered By Indigenous Sustainable Aviation Fuel Flies From Pune To Delhi

In a significant milestone for the aviation industry, India's first commercial passenger flight fueled by indigenously produced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) successfully flew from Pune to Delhi. Flight I5767, powered by a blend of SAF and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) supplied by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) in partnership with Praj Industries, marked a remarkable achievement in sustainable aviation.
Praj Industries, in collaboration with the US-based biofuels company Gevo Inc., developed the fuel using sugarcane molasses as feedstock. The SAF samples underwent rigorous testing at IOCL laboratories before being approved for the special flight. SAF, a biofuel with properties similar to conventional jet fuel but a smaller carbon footprint, has the potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional jet fuel.

HM Amit Shah Inaugurates Various Civic Projects Worth Rs 360 Crore in Ahmedabad

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several civic projects worth 360 crore rupees in Ahmedabad.
