Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao inaugurated the foundation-laying ceremony for the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower in Hyderabad. The tower, to be built on a six-acre land in Narsingi, will reach a height of 400 feet (120 meters) and cost Rs 200 crore. It will serve as a cultural landmark for Hyderabad, housing the temples of Sri Sri Radha Krishna and Sri Venkateswara Swamy. The Telangana government has pledged Rs 25 crore for the temple's construction, demonstrating their support for organizations that promote peace and spirituality.
The tower will also offer accommodation for 1,500 devotees and include facilities such as an Annadanam hall, library, Kalyanai Auditorium, IMAX open-air theaters, lecture halls, Q complex, and guest rooms. Laser shows will be arranged to educate the youth about Lord Krishna's history and teachings while preserving Telangana's historical and cultural heritage.
