Draw an angle of 50°.
Sol: Step 1: Draw a straight line using a ruler.
Step 2: Place the centre (cross section) of the protractor at one end of the line to form the vertex of the angle.
Step 3: Locate 50° on the protractor and mark it.
There are two lots of numbers on the protractor - on the inside and outside. Look for the zero that is on the same side as the line. It is on the left-hand side and on the outside.
Make a mark where the 50° is on the outside scale.
Step 4: Remove the protractor. Using a ruler, join the mark you made to the end of the line that was in the centre of the protractor.
Draw an angle of 120°.
Sol: Step 1: Draw a straight line using a ruler.
Step 2: Place the centre (cross section) of the protractor at one end of the line. This will become the vertex (corner) of the angle. Make sure the line lines up with the base line of the protractor.
Step 3: Look for 120° on the protractor. Since the zero is on the inside scale, find the 120° mark on the inside. Make a small mark at this point.
Step 4: Remove the protractor. Using a ruler, join the mark you made to the end of the line that was in the centre of the protractor.
