Livestock Intensification Index of Andaman and Nicobar Islands (LII)
The Livestock Intensification Index is prepared by the Central Agricultural Research Institute to quantify the improvement in the livestock facilities and infrastructure in the various regions of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Four islands were in the top quarter of marks in a scale of 0 - 1.0, keeping in mind the various factors from arable lands to the other important facilities. Nine ranged between 0.5 to 0.75, and nine more were rated between 0.25 and 0.5. as many as 15 islands were there in the lowest quarter.
