Says the ant to the cricket.
“I'm your servant and friend,
But we ants never borrow;
we ants never lend.
But tell me, dear cricket
did you lay nothing by
When the weather was warm?”
Quoth the cricket,
“Not I!”

Explanation: चींटे ने झींगुर से कहा "मै आपका सेवक और मित्र हूॅ पर हम चींटे न कभी उधार लेते हैं और न ही उधार देेते हैं पर प्रिय झींगुर, यह तो बताओ कि क्या आपने उस समय कुछ भी बचाकर नहीं रखा जब मौसम गर्म था" झींगुर ने कह दिया, मैंने  कुछ भी नहीं बचाया |

That I sang day and night,

“You sang, Sir, you say?
Go then, ” says the ant, “and dance the winter away.”    (Page 22)

Explanation: झींगुर बोला, "मेरा ह्रदय हर्षोल्लास से इतना भरा हुआ था कि मैं दिन रात गाता रहा | सारी प्रकृति  खुश दिखाई दे रही थी तुम कहते हो कि तुमने सारी ग्रीष्म ऋतु  नाचते गाते बिता दी, तो गिर अब जाओ," चींटा बोला, "सारी सर्दी नाचकर बिता दो "

Folks call this a fable. I’ll warrant it true:
