All you need of CA CPT at this link: CA CPT

The subject of Quantitative Aptitude or Maths might seem little difficult at the beginning if you are not very good at math. But, Statistics will be easier than math.

So, while preparing for your CA CPT, you can concentrate on Statistics by conceptualizing the theory and work out problems from averages, correlation and regression, differentiation and integration and theoretical distribution. Try to cover the important topics the ones learned during your school times. In statistics try to complete Correlation and regression, Differentiation and integration, and theoretical distribution which act as the important topics.

Some of the questions in the Quantitative Aptitude section of CA CPT might require some time to solve them. But, you should know how to manage time and leave the questions that seem difficult and are taking longer to solve. Always look to your watch and assign pre-conceived time for the same.

Get your concepts cleared for each and every topic as you can give 20–25 minutes while you sit for the exam. If you have any doubt during the study, try to note it down and resolve it.

Here are a few guiding points to help you prepare for Quantitative Aptitude or mathematics part of CA CPT strategically:

**1. Build a Strong Base:**

The students who are quite thorough with the fundamentals and basics of mathematics will have good scope in this section. So, work on your fundamentals and concepts before anything else. Once your basics are clear in the mind, you will have a good idea of how to approach the higher level questions.

Identify the relevant topics by going through the past years papers and practice them thoroughly. You need to make choice between statistics & maths because both of them have equal weightage and are enough in itself to clear the exam.

**2. Regular Practice:**

Regular Practice will help you understand which questions are easy to attempt in the exam and which questions should be skipped owing to the time constraint and negative marking.

Preparing for Quantitative Aptitude for CA CPT requires consistency, dedication, focus and good mentorship. Plan your preparation for this section of CA CPT keeping in mind the time you have and your areas of strength & weakness. This can be achieved by practicing the concepts on a regular basis.

**3. Focus on Speed and Accuracy:**

Although the parameters of speed and accuracy are important for all the sections, they are especially relevant for the Quantitative Aptitude section. You cannot afford to spend too much time on these maths questions and risk other sections. It is important to learn to solve the questions with good accuracy within a limited time frame for proper time management.

You cannot use the long methods of solving such questions. Here, the questions need to be solved with minimum steps on paper as possible and never more than 3 steps. So you need to cut down the steps and solve the sums as fast as possible.

**4. Daily revision**

Make a formula book while preparing and write all formulas and tricks. This will help you during the revision phase. For the Quantitative section, revision should be done on a regular basis as you need to keep those formulas in your head for a long time and this can only be achieved by revision. Learn and revise all the formulas and apply them wherever necessary to save time.

**5. Attempt CA CPT Mock tests and Previous Year Papers:**

The quantitative aptitude section requires a lot of practice to gain perfection. For this, attempt as many questions from CA CPT mock tests and CA CPT Previous Years Question Papers as you can. Take multiple CA CPT Mock Tests and solve ample number of previous years CA CPT Question Papers for improving your time management skills. You will be able to understand the pattern of the exam and also, the type of questions you can expect in various sections of CA CPT.
