She wanted him to break up with his friend. So she washed to eat the monkey’s heart. The crocodile carried his friend on his back. In midstream he disclosed his wife’s plan. The monkey was clever enough to save his life. He said he had left his heart behind on the tree. As the two came back to the tree, the monkey climbed up.

Q9: Narrate the story of the friendship between the monkey and the crocodile in about 80 words.
Ans:
A monkey lived in a fruit tree on the river bank. But he was unhappy because he had no companion. He made friends with a crocodile and sent fruits for his wife. One day, the crocodile’s wife expressed her wish to eat the monkey’s heart.
The crocodile persuaded his friend to accompany him. But the monkey was not a swimmer and therefore he rode on the crocodile’s back. They set out. When they came in midstream the crocodile disclosed his evil plan. The monkey was taken aback to hear the crocodiles’s plan. He said he had left his heart behind on the tree. As he returned to the river bank, he climbed up the tree.
