LETTER OF COMPLAINT Sample

Q. Write a letter to Hotel Blue Bird, Manali complaining about the low quality of service that
was offered to you while you stayed at the hotel with your family on a holiday.

Examination Hall
…………………………..
1 August 2014
…………………………..
The Manager
Hotel Blue Bird
Mall Road
Manali
……………………………
SUBJECT – Complaint regarding service offered at the hotel
Dear Sir
I had booked the Royal Suite in your renowned hotel under the name Mr. Amit Kumar, for
a period of four days, from 20 – 24 July 2014. Despite recommendations from various
sources, I found the service offered by your hotel sub-standard and extremely disgusting.
…………………………………………………..

We checked into the hotel around 8 AM on the morning of the 20
th
 of July 2014, traveling
by road all the way from Delhi. It was really disheartening to have received a cold
welcome at such a reputed and well recommended five star hotel. There was none to
carry our luggage to our room and it took the lady at the reception more than the time
required to confirm our reservation and check us in. Besides this, the breakfast that we
ordered was served cold and no attention whatsoever was paid to our repeated
complaints. Not to forget the problem with the power supply. Despite yours being a five
star hotel, we faced a lot of inconvenience during our stay owing to frequent power
failures which left us all in a lurch.
 …………………………………………………….

I would like you to compensate the inconvenience faced because of the low quality of
your services mentioned hereof and I request you to give us a 30% reimbursement of the
total bill amount, failing which I shall be compelled to move the consumer court.
 Yours sincerely
 Amit Kumar
