finance
what is finance and how it originated
what are the types of finance how
individual or business can get financed
what is the impact of finance on a
business and economy finance is a broad
term which is used to define two
interlinked activities firstly how is
the money managed it is generally the
management of money and other valuables
which can be converted into cash as per
need secondly how are the needed funds
acquired by a business it is the task of
providing the necessary funds required
by a business to achieve its economic
goals now brief history of finance there
are enough evidences to prove that
finance is as old as life on earth the
word finance comes from French language
but it was adopted by english-speaking
communities in early 18th century today
finance the branch of economics is not
merely a word but it has emerged into an
academic discipline of greater
importance due to its implications in
businesses all around the globe types of
finance in today's world modern finance
is distinguished into two main types
public finance and private finance
public finance deals with income and
expenditures of a government or estate
it's that part of Finance which hovers
around the central question of
allocation of resources subjected to the
budget constraint of the governmental
public entities four basic components of
public finance are public expenditure
public revenue public debt and budgeting
on the other hand Private Finance is
divided into two sub finances as
personal finance and business finance
personal finance deals with the
financial management of an individual or
a family unit which performs to manage
save and spend the monetary resources
over time taking into account various
risks and life events it basically deals
with the optimization of finances in the
individual single consumer family
personal savings etc level subjected to
the budget constraint on the other hand
business finance deals with wide range
of activities and disciplines Raval
around the management of money and other
valuable assets of a business to their
fullest capacity it tries to optimize
the goals profit sales etc of a
corporation or other business
organization by estimating future asset
requirements and then allocating funds
in accordance to the availability of
funds difference between private and
public finance Private Finance is
related to individuals while public
finance relates to government an
individual adjusts his or her
expenditure according to his or her
income while the public authority
adjusts its income to its expenditure a
private individual tries to have a
surplus of income over expenditure ie
save resources for future needs while a
public authority will spend all that it
gets an individual can borrow money from
other individual only and externally on
the other hand a public authority or a
state can raise loans from both
internally and externally finances of
individuals are limited while finances
of government are flexible not a single
individual can print notes while a state
can print currency notes in order to
meet its expenditure in difficult times
