There are six standards of sports ethics which is involves in fair play. These are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
- Trustworthiness: Trustworthiness is the ability to be honest, reliable, principled and does not support dishonesty, cheating, or dishonourable conduct.
- Respect: Every individuals need to learn to respect their teammates, coaches, opponents, spectators and learn to accept the win with grace and lose with dignity.
- Responsibility: Every individuals should take their responsibilities and try to be a positive role model on and off the field.
- Fairness: Every individuals should adhere to high standards of fair play and ensure that teams and athletes play by the rules and treat others fairly.
- Caring: Every individuals should never engage in careless behaviour that could injure themselves or others and demonstrate concern for others.
- Citizenship: As a member of a community, whether in a team, in a classroom, or with a family, every individuals think how their choices impact other community members & follow the spirit of the rules of the sports.

Government has the responsibilities to encourage and follow ethical standards, improve controls with regard to integrity and ethics, empower and encourage physical education and sports teachers and instructors to promote sports ethics, commit in preserving the integrity of sports under threat especially from match fixing, trafficking in young sportsperson and illegal betting, and monitoring of the prevention of racism, xenophobia and racial intolerance in sport.
