Fort

• Historically, Kollapur was a princely territory governed by Hindu rulers under the Nizams' reign. The region, encompassing most of the Nallamala area along the Krishna River, was dominated by Kollapur. Notably, the rulers of Kollapur erected a grand palace in 1871.
• The Kollapur palace stands as a magnificent edifice, comprising various structures within its premises. Featuring a grand entrance with wooden doors, the palace encompasses ample open space housing an administrative building. Adjacent to this lies the primary residential complex of the Kollapur rulers, consisting of multiple buildings constructed during the 19th and 20th centuries. At the heart of the residential area, visitors can behold the horse carriages once used by the rulers.
• Kollapur can be accessed from either NagarKurnool (50.3 km) or Wanaparthy (47 km) via bus routes connecting them to Mahboobnagar, Kurnool, and Hyderabad.

Dargah

Hazrath Niranjan Shah Wali Dargah 

• Hazrath Niranjan Shah Wali Dargah is a sacred place located in Rangapur village, Achampet Mandal in the Nagarkurnool district of Telangana, India. Individuals from diverse religious backgrounds visit this holy site during the annual Urs festival, celebrated every year on 17th January.
• The dargah is constructed on the tomb of saint Mohinuddin, also known as Shaheed. The Urs festivities are marked by Qawwali performances, the Sandal Sharif ceremonial procession, and various special rituals.
• Directions: The dargah is situated 8.4 km away from Achampet Mandal Headquarters and 46.2 km away from Nagarkurnool Headquarters. Transportation options such as autos and buses are available from Nagarkurnool and Achampet.

Church

Mennonite Brethren Church

• The conference had by the 1950s sent 46 missionaries to this field and had eight main mission stations, where it operated the work. Evangelism was strongly emphasized in the mission and occupied the major part of the missionaries’ time and effort.
• 1920 was an important year as the Mennonite Brethren Bethany Bible School was started in Nagarkurnool by American Mennonite Brethren missionaries. The school, taught in Telugu, had the goal of training local lay people to become church leaders and to have a seminary that was closer to the church body.
• Mennonite Brethren Church is situated in Nagarkurnool Headquarters. People from faiths visit the holy on the occasion of festival every year on 24th and 25th of December.

Uma Maheshwaram

• Uma Maheshwaram, also known as Maheshwaram, is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Nagarkurnool district of Telangana, India. Situated amidst the scenic Nallamala forest ranges, it is positioned 51.4 km away from Nagarkurnool and 100 kilometers away from Hyderabad along the prominent Hyderabad-Srisailam highway. Umamaheshwaram serves as the northern gateway to Srisailam and is revered as one of the jyotirlingas, significant in various Vedic texts. It is strongly believed that a pilgrimage to Srisailam remains incomplete without paying homage to Umamaheshwaram.
• Perched atop a hill and enveloped by towering trees, the temple is shielded by the hill ranges, creating a serene atmosphere. • The Shri Uma Maheshwara Swamy Temple in Nagarkurnool houses a unique Shivalinga with dual colors, white and red, symbolizing different aspects. Adjacent to the temple lies a large tank, adding to the spiritual ambiance. The temple's origins trace back to the 2nd century AD, believed to have been constructed during the reign of Maurya Chandragupta.
