Ans: A policeman stopped a drunkard and asked him where he was going. The drunkard replied that he was going to a lecture on the ill-effects of drinking. The policeman then asked who would lecture at midnight. The man replied that it would be his wife. 

(C) Read the comic strips given below and complete the passages that follow.

Ans: Mrs. Molly was shocked to see the dentist's bill and exclaimed in surprise that it was three times more than what he normally charged. The dentist admitted that it was indeed three times more than the normal fee but added that she had yelled so loudly that she scared away two other patients.

Ans: Appaswami took his wife to a movie. During the show the two got into a conversation. His wife remarked that she didn't like his friend passing remarks about him. Appaswami replied that even the walls have ears. The wife went on to remark that his friend even talks about him behind his back and stated that she doesn't like people who talk behind others' backs. A girl in a row behind the couple could not concentrate on the movie because of their conversation. So she couldn't help telling them that while watching a movie, she doesn't like people talking in front of her.
