Question 8: Praveen scored 432 marks out of 600. What percentage of marks did he score?

432 out of 600 is equivalent to the fraction 432/600.

Question 9: Mr Bhardwaj earns ₹ 75,200 per month. He pays 10% as income tax. How much does he pay as income tax?

Mr Bhardwaj's monthly earnings = ₹ 75,200

Amount paid as income tax = 10% of ₹ 75,200

= ₹ 75,200 x 10/100 = ₹ 75,200 x 10/100 = ₹7,520


Question 10: In a school there are 725 students. Out of these, 32% are girls. How many girls are there? Also find the number of boys in the school.

Total number of students in the school = 725

Number of girls = 32% of 725 = 725 x 32/100 = 725 x 32/100 = 29 x 8 = 232.

Thus, number of boys in the school = 725 - 232 = 493.
