and integrated urban logistics in the
city mobility system all culminating in
2050 when physical Internet has become
our new reality to reach these goals
northern 30 varying projects and
research studies have been carried out
let's go over some of them in detail
lamella aims to create a step change in
freight deliveries by fully considering
the last mile of a supply chain when
planning a freight logistics journey
ensuring a more efficient and integrated
logistics approach throughout northwest

the project has four pilots for example
in Brussels where the administration
initiated and supported the launch and
management of a private urban
consolidation center which is managing
transporters and retailers goods for
consolidated delivery using smaller and
less polluting vehicles the pilot
demonstrates how both private and public
sector organizations can work together
towards efficient and sustainable urban
logistics

the Fairview project aims at
implementing electric vehicle solutions
for last mile transport in Rotterdam and
19th ton truck with a load capacity of
nine tons and a range of 200 kilometres
is being used to distribute Heineken
beers within the city the truck is the
result of a multi sector partnership the
team at Heineken Netherlands and its
local transport service provider from
they're headed gun sports joined forces
with the city and each rack supplier
Heights look the annual saving in
emissions amounts to some 22 tons of co2
9 kilos of NOx and 200 grams of EC the
truck is also much appreciated for its
quietness one by one these projects
contribute pieces to a beautiful puzzle
together we are developing new logistics
and supply chain concepts and realizing
innovations for a more competitive and
sustainable industry
