Rules

  • One of the most important rules is to be well-acquainted with English grammar including adjectives, use of tenses, use of conjunctions, pronouns, subject-verb agreement, forms of verbs, interjections, and more wen you answer error identification questions
  • Identifying the role of modifiers is important because if they are placed before the subject, then the sentence becomes grammatically incorrect.
  • Redundancy should be avoided at all costs in order to remove the possible errors from the sentence.
  • Try not to have any parallelism in your verb forms when writing a sentence
  • Consider singular and plural nouns and verb forms with the subject to identify error if there is any
  • The subject and verb should agree in a sentence. Know the rule for subject verb agreement as well
  • Keep an eye on the punctuation and articles (a/an/the)
  • There should be a proper use of question tag. Question tags are used in a sentence to make it from assertive to interrogative
  • Relative Pronoun should also be known because it is the most common error that you may find in any error identification question
  • Read articles and newspapers or books to enhance your vocabulary and grammar
