➢ The NPCI approval also follows another recent direction imposing a cap of 30% of the total volume of transactions processed in Unified Payments Interface (UPI), applicable to all third-party app providers, effective from 1st January 2021.
➢ WhatsApp would now compete with existing players such as Paytm, Google Pay, Amazon Pay and PhonePe.

➢ This decision is on the lines of July 6, 2020 government notification regarding to broaden the scope of this exemption and to expedite foreign investment in the country’s priority areas during the Covid-19 pandemic.

2. Renowned personality Sanchaman Limboo passed away recently, he was former chief minister of which state ______ Sikkim.

➢ Sanchaman Limboo, a member of Sikkim Sangram Parishad Party was the fourth Chief Minister of Sikkim who served from 17th June 1994 to 12th December 1994.
