Question 5: Neha purchased 12 metres of cloth. She used 7.75 metres of it for curtains and 2.35 metres for a bed-sheet. How much cloth is left?

Neha purchased cloth = 12m 

She used cloth for curtains  = 7.75m 

She used cloth for bed sheet = 2.35m

Total cloth used = 7.75m + 2.35m = 10.1m 

Cloth left = 12m - 10.1 m = 1.9m

Question 6: Radhika's mother gave her Rs 21.50 and her father gave her R 50.75. Find the total amount given to Radhika by her parents.

Radhika's mother gave her money = Rs 21.50

Radhika's Father gave her money =  Rs 50.75. 

Total money given = Rs 21.50 +  Rs 50.75 = Rs. 72.25

Question 7: The distance between Delhi and Bareilly is 278.4 km. A train covers this distance in 6 hours. How much distance did the train cover in 1 hour?

The distance between Delhi and Bareilly = 278.4 km

A train covers this distance in = 6 hours.

Distance covered i one hour = 278.4/6

= 2784/60 = 46.6 hours

Question 8: The cost of one metre of cloth is Rs 62.85. Find the cost of 43 m of cloth.

The cost of one metre of cloth = Rs 62.85

Cost of 43m cloth = 62.85 x 43 = 2702.55

Question 9: The place value of 3 in 27.093 is ______.

The place value of 3 in 27.093 is 

2 = ten thousand

7 = thousands

0 = hundreds

9 = tens

3 = ones

Question 10: Are 0.5, 0.05, 0.005 and 0.0005 equivalent?

No, they are not equivalent, 0.5 > 0.05 > 0.005 > 0.0005

Question 11: 4.5 × 0.6 is same as 0.45 × 6. Is it true?

Yes,4.5 × 0.6 is the same as 0.45 × 6. The product of both is 2.7
