Dear Mummy,

How are you mummy, hope you are not missing me much. Yesterday dad told me that you are so worried for me as I am going to the hostel for the very first time. Here everyone is so cooperative and helpful. I was a little upset to part from you but now after meeting everyone I am happy and comfortable here.
The food we eat is good, we all do our breakfast, lunch and dinner together in the mess. My two roommates are also very lively, they help me in doing every little work in the room like cleaning, and arranging clothes. I also arranged my cupboard properly. My first day in college was also fantastic. I made so many new friends.
After returning from college we went to the hostel's terrace and played badminton also. It was so fun playing with all of them. The hostel warden is so strict he takes rounds of every room thrice a day.
Don’t worry about me, I'm taking my proper care here. I am missing you so much. Give regards to papa. Hope to meet you soon. Love you mummy.
