Dear Diary,
Guests are welcome, but when someone arrives uninvited and refuses to leave, they become a burden. Recently Rohan, a distant relative of my mother, stormed into our house without prior notice. We had to make room for him and provide a separate room with fresh clothes, towels and some cosmetics. He was strictly vegetarian and insisted that no meat or fish be cooked in our kitchen. At first he was witty, sang folk songs and kept us amused, but his long, unplanned stay disturbed our privacy and daily routine. We were greatly relieved when his son finally came to take him away; his departure felt like the lifting of an unwanted burden.

A diary entry records personal feelings and events. Use a conversational and honest tone. Begin with the place and date, then address the diary as Dear Diary. Write in the first person and express your emotions clearly.
Structure
Start with the heading showing place and date. Describe the incident in chronological order, mention important names (for example, Rohan) and facts (for example, that he was accommodated, that he was strictly vegetarian). Conclude with your feelings and a short closing followed by your name or signature.
Language and tense
Use simple, correct sentences. For past incidents use the past tense. Choose suitable words to show emotions (annoyed, relieved, uncomfortable, amused). Avoid formal essay style; keep it personal and natural.
Points to remember
Never reveal private family details unnecessarily. Keep the entry within the required word limit (here 100-120 words). Use paragraphs to separate the main idea, the events and the conclusion. Check for spelling and punctuation before finalising.
