You can use a combination of ₹10 and ₹20 notes to make a total of ₹190. To solve this, different pairs of notes can be used. For example:

  • 1 ₹10 note + 9 ₹20 notes (10 + 180 = ₹190)
  • 3 ₹10 notes + 8 ₹20 notes (30 + 160 = ₹190)
  • 5 ₹10 notes + 7 ₹20 notes (50 + 140 = ₹190) And so on.

There are several possible combinations, allowing flexibility in choosing different numbers of ₹10 and ₹20 notes, as long as they sum to ₹190.

(vi) Preeti earns ₹ 120 a day. How much will she earn in a month of 30 days?

Earnings by the number of days in the month:

120×30=3600120 \times 30 = 3600

So, Preeti will earn ₹3600 in a 30-day month.

(vii) Cost of one toy is Rs.6. Ram bought 5 toys. He gave Rs 50 to the shopkeeper. How much money should he get back?

Sunil cleaned his home and collected all the waste. Later he went to a junk seller and sold 3 kgs of newspaper, notebook, iron and plastic each. How much will the junkseller pay to Sunil?
Ans: 

  • 3 kgs of newspaper: 5 rupees per kg × 3 kgs = 15 rupees
  • 3 kgs of notebooks: 3 rupees per kg × 3 kgs = 9 rupees
  • 3 kgs of iron: 10 rupees per kg × 3 kgs = 30 rupees
  • 3 kgs of plastic: 4 rupees per kg × 3 kgs = 12 rupees

Now, sum the amounts:
15 + 9 + 30 + 12 = 66 rupees

The junk seller will pay Sunil 66 rupees.
