Craft Ideas: Eid Card

Material Required

1. Silver Glitter Foam
2. Dark-colored card stock or stiff paper
3. Silver rhinestone stickers
4. Patterned Paper
5. Piece of cardboard
6. Star punch or star stickers
7. Glue, scissors, thread

Directions to be followed

1. Decide upon the size of the card you want to create and fold your cardstock accordingly. Opt for dark colors so that the crescent will stand out.
2. Begin creating a crescent stencil out of cardboard. Use a compass to draw a circle, and then draw an arc to form a crescent shape. Cut out the crescent.
3. Using the cardboard as a stencil, trace out the crescent shape on the back of your glitter foam sheet, and then cut it out. We do this to handle the foam as little as possible.
   Stick the crescent in the middle of the card, and start decorating with rhinestone stickers. We used two different sizes to add some interest. The outside of the card is now complete!For the inside, fold the plain white paper and stick it to the inner spine of the card, so that you have a light surface to write your message on.

6. Punch out some stars out of patterned paper and stick them on a piece of string. When dry, stick each end of the string on either side of the card so that it forms a banner when the card is open.
   
7. You can also make another card with a smaller crescent and a border of shiny tape. Now print out a message and stick it inside the card, or write your own - your DIY eid card is ready!!
