The sons were excited at the thought of treasure. As soon as their father was buried, they began to dig in the fields. They dug every bit of the land, turning over the soil and searching for the hidden treasure. But no matter how hard they looked, no treasure appeared.
Disappointed, the sons gave up. However, because they had dug the land so well, when the time came to plant crops, the fields produced a very fine crop of corn. The sons realized that the real treasure was not gold or silver, but the fruits of their hard work.
Moral: Hard work is the true treasure in life.

Yesterday, only one was rotten, but today, all of them are ruined because of that one bad apple." The boy understood the lesson his father was trying to teach him. Just like the apples, one bad friend can spoil a person’s character.
Moral: Bad company corrupts good character.

They thought he was playing another trick, so no one came to help. The wolf killed many sheep, and the boy was left helpless.
Moral: No one believes a liar, even when he tells the truth.
