Craft Ideas: Printed Fall Trees | Art & Craft for Class 7 PDF Download
Material Required
- Sulphite or other heavy weight paper (9″ x 12″)
- Liquid tempera paint
- Paintbrushes
- A wooden block (or piece of heavy cardboard)
- Yarn, rope or string
- Tape
- A cookie tray (or piece of plexiglass)
Directions to be followed
- Prepare a printing block by wrapping yarn or light rope around a small block or wood or piece of heavy cardboard.
- Tape the yarn on the back.
- On a cookie sheet, dab a variety of colors in a narrow “blobby” shape. If you are making an Autumn picture, use greens, reds, and yellows.
- Work quickly! Don’t let the paint dry.
- Before the paint has a chance to dry, place a sheet of paper on the cookie sheet and press lightly.
- Remove the paper to reveal the print.
- Paint black (or brown) onto the printing block.
- Press the block onto the paper, under the colorful print. The lines of the yarn will become tree trunks.
- Continue until you have enough tree trunks.
- Cut out the image and glue it onto a colorful background.
