How to strengthen India's health care system?

Being the second most populated nation in the world is not a simple task, and India has significant hurdles in the healthcare sector. It is also getting harder for the nation to manage things properly as a result of crises like the pandemic. To address these challenges, India adopted the National Health Policy with a vision of Ayushman Bharat i.e.; Healthy India. But to realize this aim, there is a gap that still needs to be bridged. There are certain parameters on which India needs to work on sincerely if it needs to attain its mission. The major issue that needs urgent attention is infrastructure. Lack of well-equipped medical institutions remains a challenge. We should not need another pandemic to justify the same. A simple observation of the public hospitals in states like Bihar can be seen as examples.
There is a shortage of efficient and skilled manpower especially in the rural areas where two-thirds of our population resides. The doctors, nurses etc need to become more receptive towards working in the villages. Most youngsters do not wish to be a part of this chain as they see that the salaries in the cities are better. The doctor to patient ratio in the rural areas is less than 1 doctor per 1000 people which is alarming. Many hospitals are not able to manage the patient load as they fail to keep a regular track of the available stock of amenities affecting the operational efficiency of the hospitals. There is an urgent need to integrate technology into the process. A feedback mechanism should be put in place so that a trust can be developed between the patients and the medical service providers. Most people fear medical treatments to be too heavy on their pockets and hence refrain from seeking help. All this has to change primarily if the vision of "Ayushman Bharat" has to become a reality.
