Rising challenges for parents on trending digital education.

As we all know that schools remain shut due to the Covid-19 pandemic, parents are facing challenges on digital education.In particular, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the sudden shift to online learning has presented new opportunities and unexpected challenges to the affected young children and their parents. Since their kids have to spend long hours on computers and smartphones for online classes. Parents are starting to become concerned about this as stress, headaches, and eye issues are reported. Some parents believe that as screen time increases for both study and other activities, it is becoming "worse than cannabis addiction."
Some parents are reporting mental health issues too due to excessive use of gadgets. While some parents suspect their children have increased mood swings now. They are already cooped up at home and are getting cranky and restless. After their online classes children are unable to focus on their work and suffer from headaches. Parents are tense that post covid how they will get rid of the bad habits which are caused due to exposure to screens of mobiles and laptops which leads to a feeling of isolation and anxiety in the current scenario. It can also lead to depression and an increase in neurotic traits such as nail biting, thumb sucking and hair pulling.This can have an adverse physical impact on children and lead to eye strain on eyes and ears, obesity and disturbed sleep patterns.
The vast majority of parents report that they keep an eye on their children's online use, making internet security one of the biggest challenges for parents. And more than half say they withhold or take away technology when rules are broken, have house rules on screen-time, and have access to their child’s social media, email, and other applications. There are chances of spoliation of their kids using excess phones.
Parents’ beliefs and attitudes about the role and the potential of online learning for young children can influence the quality and quantity of online learning, opportunities, and learning experiences children receive at home. So it is important to provide quality education because our future depends on the hands of these rising kids.
